Construction Layouts

Setting out and coordinating the work: dimensions, sequence and staging drawn for the crew on site.

A construction layout turns a design into instructions: the dimensions the crew strings lines from, the order of the phases, and where materials, access and waste will be staged. It is what keeps two trades from arriving at the same wall on the same day.

It also records the decisions made in the field: a beam that had to move, a drain that had to be rerouted, a joist that was not where the drawing said. Field changes written down are field changes that do not come back as surprises.

Questions we get about construction layouts

Who uses a construction layout?

The crew and the trades, and the owner who wants to see why a phase is scheduled the way it is.

Does it change during the job?

Yes, it is a living document. Changes are recorded with a date and a photograph so the sequence stays honest.

Can you lay out work designed by someone else?

Yes. When the design comes from another designer we lay out and build to their drawings, documenting the field conditions we find.

How do I get a quote?

Send the details through the contact form or call +1 (470) 559-6251. Tell us the address, what you want done and any photos you already have. We review the job, ask whatever is missing and send a written estimate.
